About

Learn how you can conduct more effective business and organizational meetings through the study of Parliamentary Procedure.
The foundations of Parliamentary Law are:
  • Maintain member equality; justice and fairness for all.
  • Establish and maintain order; one item of business at a time.
  • Assure that the minority will be heard.
  • Assure that the majority will prevail.

Why you want to be using Robert's Rules of Order
  • Present your ideas clearly
  • Thwart bullies; protect your interests
  • Avoid ineffective committees
  • Improve decision-making processes
  • Create efficient business agendas
  • Engage in effective conflict resolution
  • Lead with the confidence of knowing the rules
  • Achieve your organization’s mission

“Where there is no law, but every man does what is right in his own eyes,
there is the least of real liberty.” Henry M. Robert

Here's a typical agenda
We study and practice Roberts Rules of Order towards bringing order, fairness, and civility to organizations.
  • We promote the study of parliamentary procedure and the educational programs of the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP).
  • We are supported by the Minnesota State Association of Parliamentarians (MSAP) through semi-annual seminars on basic and advanced parliamentary procedures.
  • Our members encourage others to learn and develop experience in the use of parliamentary techniques. A primary way to become acquainted with and understand how to implement efficient organizational meeting procedures is to come visit one of our meetings!
